Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-17 · Takes effect on 2026-10-17
These terms are the agreement between you and Akora Cloud Inc., which runs Boilerpod, for your use of the web app at app.boilerpod.com and the Boilerpod browser extension.
Who we are
Boilerpod is run by Akora Cloud Inc. (business number 774479547). Contact: support@boilerpod.com.
Your account
- You agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy when you create your account, and your account records which version you agreed to and when.
- You must be 18 or older to use Boilerpod.
- You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Google, Microsoft or Apple where they are offered.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which deletes everything in it, as the Privacy Policy describes.
- An account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in with anyone else; each person who uses Boilerpod needs an account of their own.
- You are responsible for keeping your password, your PIN and your extension and API keys safe, and for what is done with them. If you think someone else has one, change your password or PIN, or revoke the key, in Settings, and tell us at support@boilerpod.com.
Plans and payment
- Boilerpod has three plans: Free, Bookmarks and Reader. Reader includes everything in Bookmarks. Some features need Bookmarks or Reader; each is marked in the app with the plan it needs.
- Every new account starts with 30 days of Reader, with no payment and no card. When that ends, the account moves to Free and keeps everything in it.
- When an account moves to a lower plan, nothing in it is removed: you can still read, export and delete everything.
- Each plan has a monthly allowance for uploads, and the AI features have a monthly allowance per account; Settings shows where you are.
- Bookmarks and Reader are paid for monthly or yearly through Stripe.
- [PO: prices and taxes; when a subscription renews and how it is cancelled; refunds; and what happens when a payment fails]
Your content
What you save and upload stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and show it, only to provide Boilerpod to you — including sending it to the companies the Privacy Policy names, when you use the features it names them for. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the copies the Privacy Policy says are kept for a time.
Boilerpod fetches the addresses you give it, and the browser extension can send a page you save as your browser shows it.
You are responsible for what you save, upload and have Boilerpod fetch for you: that you have the right to keep it, and that keeping it is lawful. Boilerpod keeps a copy for you alone; it does not publish what you save.
Acceptable use
You may not use Boilerpod to:
- store or share anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to keep;
- harm, harass or deceive other people, including on the feedback board;
- send Boilerpod's fetches at a site to overload it or get round its access controls;
- reach, or try to reach, an account, a board or data that is not yours, or test, probe or break the service's security;
- overload the service, or get round its limits, allowances or plan checks;
- copy, resell or offer the service to others as your own, or scrape it automatically other than through the extension and the API keys it provides.
The browser extension
The extension is part of the service and is covered by these terms. What it sends, and when, is in the Privacy Policy.
The feedback board and support
What you post on the feedback board is shown to other Boilerpod users under the name on your account.
Keep posts to ideas and problems with Boilerpod. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, or someone else's personal information, and do not advertise. We may remove a feature request, with its replies, that breaks these rules or that we no longer need on the board.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Boilerpod and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts the service or other people at risk, or where the law requires it. Unless the law or the risk prevents it, we will tell you by email first and give you time to export your library. Closing an account deletes it and everything in it, as deleting it yourself does; the Privacy Policy says what is kept for a time afterwards.
The service as it is
We work to keep Boilerpod available and your data safe, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change, add or remove features. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — you can export your whole library at any time.
To the extent the law allows, Boilerpod is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and Akora Cloud Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim about Boilerpod is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a right that the consumer protection law where you live does not allow to be limited.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them or about Boilerpod is to be resolved in the courts at Edmonton, Alberta.
Changes to these terms
Each version of these terms has its own version date, and your account records the version you agreed to.
When we change these terms or the Privacy Policy, we publish the new version on this page with its version date and the date it takes effect, and we email the address on your account about every new version at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Boilerpod after that date, the new version applies to you; if you do not agree to it, export your library and delete your account before then.
